SOFTBALL AND KINDERCLINIC |

7th District Rec Council provides KinderClinic or “T-ball” to boys and girls ages 4—6 years old (experienced 6 year old boys should play baseball). The age determination is 12/31 of the current year. We have a wonderful group of parent volunteer coaches that guide the children through practice and games. All the practices and games are held at 7th District Elementary School fields. |

KinderClinic Information |
All the coaches are parent volunteers and rely on the other parents to help out during practices and games. Practices start the first week in April, ideally, twice per week. The games begin with Opening Day and run about 6-7 weeks, depending on the weather. Practices will still take place 1 or 2 times a week after games have begun depending on the coach, parent participation, etc. |
How It Works |
Since most children have never played a game of baseball, we start out with the basics, such as location of the bases, running the bases, how to catch a ball, how to throw a ball, etc. The coaches use a variety of games to make the learning fun for the kids.

Practices |
KinderClinic $45 per participant There is a discount of $10 per each additional participant of the same family. Cost includes a team t-shirt and cap. The coach selects the name of the team, normally a major or minor league team. The t-shirts and caps have the major/minor league replicas on them. The child’s last name is put on the back of the shirt. Transportation to the games is not provided. |

Games Schedule. |
The games are held every Saturday from 9AM to 10PM. Normally 2 innings are played. An inning is complete once every player has been at bat. When not at bat, all players are on the field. The players normally hit off the “T” but they can be “coach pitched”. Each week the teams will play a different team on one of the 4 fields. Depending on how many teams there are, they may play a team a 2nd time. |
Uniform |
Every effort should be made for the players to wear their team shirt and cap for each game. We do not require cleats or baseball pants. Sweatpants, jeans or whatever pants the player can move comfortably in are acceptable. Sneakers are the preferred footwear. On colder mornings, it is advisable to wear a long sleeved shirt underneath their team shirt or a jacket. |
